How To Make a Martini - Tayport Distillery

How To Make a Martini

How Do You Make A Martini

If you are looking to impress at your party, bringing a martini to the table is a great way to do it! The classic martini recipe is demonstrated below but if you are looking to switch it up a little bit which no check out our twist on an espresso martini further down the page?

Ingredients

50mls Gin or Vodka

10mls Dry Vermouth

3 Green Olives

The next big question is whether you would like to shake or stir your martini. Traditionally, it is stirred, however the ever-so-popular Bond films have changed that perception. Either way, simply add your spirits to your tumbler or shaker with ice, stir or shake. Strain into the glass and garnish with 3 olives.

Burnt Butterscotch Martini

This is a delicious twist on an Espresso Martini developed by John Mcintosh using our Malted Barley Vodka. Slightly sweet which is accentuated by the schnapps and the way in which our vodka melts into the palette.

Fully leaning into those deeper, sweeter notes in the Malt Barley Vodka, John has created a stirred equivalent to the classic and ever-popular Espresso Martini.

The heat from the Vodka is felt throughout the experience, comforted somewhat by those indulgent creamy Butterscotch hints.

As formal in its display as it is on the mouth. Mildly creamy with a backbone of malt grain. This is a serve worthy of pre-dinner extravagance.

Ingredients

50mls Malt Barley Vodka

25mls Butterscotch Schnapps

10 Cold Pressed Espresso

Garnish: 3 Coffee Beans

  • Stir all ingredients down in your preferred mixing glass.
  • Strain the resultant cocktail into a chilled Coupette.
  • Garnish with the 3 coffee beans gently placed in the center of the glass.
  • Serve and enjoy.
