About The Distillery - How It All Began!

In 2017, Kecia McDougall's passion for creating delicious spirits blossomed from a hobby into a family affair. With a thirst for knowledge, Kecia completed various courses and certifications to master the distillation process. The rest, as they say, is history (and a lot of delicious experimentation!).

Today, Kecia's son, Alasdair, brings his love for flavour and science to the table as our Production Manager, while her husband Duncan uses his extensive business experience to keep things running smoothly.

Nestled in the heart of Fife, Scotland, Tayport Distillery is a family-run business passionate about crafting exceptional spirits. Our journey began with a dream to create world-class spirits that capture the essence of our local surroundings.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability. We source the finest local grain, fruit and botanicals. We meticulously craft each spirit, ensuring a perfect balance of flavour and aroma.

From our signature Malt Barley Vodka, recognised as one of the top 10 in the world by Forbes, to our vibrant fruit liqueurs and meticulously crafted gins, each bottle reflects our dedication to quality and innovation.

• Vodkas: Crafted with malt barley, this smooth vodka boasts subtle sweetness and hints of caramel, vanilla, and cacao.
• Liqueurs: Raspberry, Blackcurrant, and Coffee.  Rich, authentic flavours made with the finest Scottish ingredients.
• Gins: Inspired by the wild roses along the Tay River and the Scots Pine on our doorstep in the Tenstmuir forest.

Collaborating with local legends like The Seafood Ristorante and The Criterion, we've crafted exciting new spirits, including an Italian Amaro, the limited-edition Criterion Gin, and our latest 100 Chimes Rum.
